Leaving Soon is built to need as little of your data as possible. The short version: we don't have accounts, we don't track you, and the choices you make in the app stay on your phone.
Nothing that identifies you. Leaving Soon has no login, no email, no sign-up. We do not collect, store, or transmit your name, contacts, location, advertising identifier, or usage analytics.
The following is stored locally on your iPhone and is never sent to us:
This information lives only on your device. Deleting the app removes it. We have no copy and no way to access it.
The app downloads a single daily file of curated, editorial picks from our content delivery network (cdn.leavingsoon.com). This is the same file for everyone — the request does not include any personal information, and the personalization (matching picks to your services) happens entirely on your device. Our servers receive standard, non-identifying web request information (such as IP address) only as a normal part of delivering that file, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
Deadline reminders for titles on your watchlist are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. They do not require an account and do not send anything to us. (If we later add an optional weekly editorial notification delivered over Apple Push Notification service, it will use an anonymous device token that is not linked to your identity, and we will update this policy first.)
If you sign up for email alerts on this website, we store your email address and the kind of alert you chose (digest, per-title, or per-service) so we can send it. That's the only thing we keep, and we never sell, rent, or share it. Alert emails are sent through a transactional email provider and contain no tracking pixels. You can unsubscribe any time via the link in any email, or by emailing info@lofilabs.com with the address you want removed — we'll delete your record within 30 days.
Movie details and posters are provided by The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Streaming availability data is provided by the Streaming Availability API. These are used to build the daily editorial file on our servers; they do not receive any information about you.
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
